About the Author
DAVID T. HSU works at the intersection of social innovation, community-building, and technology. He is author of “Untethered: A Primer on Social Isolation,” which surveys the systemic forces that drive people apart and the emerging landscape of solutions. David previously worked at NationBuilder, the software company that powers grassroots campaigns and movements around the world, and before that at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a visiting lecturer in international relations. He graduated from Duke and earned his Ph.D. in politics at Princeton. David is a board member of L.A. Kitchen, where he chairs the citywide anti-gala Shared Plates, and an advisor for Encore.org’s Generation to Generation campaign.
